8 ounces unsalted butter, soft
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups flour
2 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1. Butter a 9x13 inch baking pan. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Cream butter and sugars together in a large bowl. Add eggs and vanilla, stirring thoroughly to combine.
3. Add peanut butter; stir in.
4. Add flour, salt, baking soda, and oats. Mix until just combined.
5. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake until golden brown and center is cooked through, about 20-30 minutes.
1. When cookie bar is baked, turn the oven off and pull cookies out. Distribute chocolate chips evenly on top and place back in the oven for a couple of minutes, until chocolate is melting.
2. Remove from oven and use a butter knife or the back of a spoon to spread the chocolate evenly across the top. Allow to cool before drizzling with peanut butter glaze.
1. Whisk together peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk.
2. Drizzle evenly over the chocolate. Swirl if desired.
