1 cup sugar
1 cup water
4-5 fresh fig leaves
1. Place sugar and water in a small sauce pot. Stir to combine, turn on heat to medium, and cook until mixture comes to a low boil.
2. Allow to simmer until sugar is completely dissolved, about 3-5 minutes. Turn off heat.
3. Add fig leaves to syrup. Allow them to infuse in the syrup until it cools completely, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Strain into a clean jar.
4. Keep syrup refrigerated and use for cocktails, mocktails, and desserts.
